Making CT "work"

This is a suggestion that we get together and create a list of setting for each operating systems to help people be able to function in Cybertown. I believe this is a huge reason that many newbies do not stay. They cannot buy things, open books, etc. I don't think i am alone, when I say that creating is not as much fun if you cannot view your item in 3d, drop it in your 3d home, etc. It seems at every Creator's Group Meeting we find people (including myself) asking about one problem or another that seem to mostly derive from computer settings. Why not make a list of internet tool settings for each system, going through each tab of settings, including the 4 CT addresses that need to be in Trusted, Sites. I have a friend in ct now who has a brand new computer but cannot enter the Home Decorating Contest because she now has Vista and can't even get into 3d!
That's my suggestion! I also volunteer to help put it together.
Thanks,
Xarla

Xarla I agree since I recently now have vista and it took me forever to tweek things up a bit to make CT and 3D work. One thing I had to do waas get another 3D viewer..'BS Contact VRML-X3D from: Bitmangement. Only problem I do still have is crashing in3D after typing/talking after about 3-5 min.and thats so annoying even though I am using "CrazyBroswer" which used to work much better with CT and 3D. So I do agreee with you on settings for different operating systems and yes agrees this is why alot of newbies give up. hugs~gp:) Do you find this valuable?

I think this is a great example, and if we set it up right it should be much easier than going through the tech board. Hmmm, maybe some of the techs would even like to be in on it? Do you find this valuable?

Bashkirtsev Thats a great idea! and if done here well certain operating systems and bugs etc..could be tested right here to..to a certain extent I guess.

PS. I have seen advertisments for other 3D chat communties that claim to now be vista compatible . I guess wee need to leave it up to our Techs:)
