Flux Studio tutorialsThis is a featured page

Flux Studio is the descendant of Spazz and later Viz3D. It's free for personal and academic use and can be downloaded from Media Machines. The latest version seems to be called only Studio 2.1 and the name media machines seems to have been replaced with "Vivaty". I don't keep track of these company developments... :P Anyway, the Flux Studio download generally asks if you want to download the player too - you DON'T want to do that or you'll have problems with Blaxxun in CT. (Nothing that can't be fixed but it's a pain none the less.)

FleetOne Want to make a Ghost or other humanoid for Flux? 0 Nov 2 2007, 12:20 AM EDT by FleetOne

Ever want to add a Ghost or humanoid shape to your item in Flux but could never figure out an easy way to do so?

All you have to do is:

1) Purchase an avatar building program
2) Make said avatar in the shape that you wish it to be. Save it.
3) Import said Av into Flux
4) Strip off all the animations and proto references (very easy, just save the only IFS in the tree)
5) Plop that IFS shape into your item.

Caveats:

Obviously the animations will no longer work.
The texture might work, although the size could likely be a limiting factor.

Want the Av to be ghostly-like? Just apply any color then set the properties of that color to some level of invisibility.
